Quad-Core 6th-Gen Skylake Intel Core i7 Performance

The 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7-6820HK Quad-Core processor can boost up to 3.6 GHz as needed, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The 6th-gen Skylake processor can cut down on load times and increase your play time. With better battery life and faster data processing than previous-generation Intel processors, you can do more without a hiccup to your performance, whether it’s gaming, streaming, or editing your videos.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M SLI Graphics

Specifically designed to meet the high demands of PC gamers and enthusiasts, the GT80S TITAN SLI features dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M graphics cards in a SLI configuration. NVIDIA SLI intelligently scales graphics performance. With over 1,500 supported games and day-of-release SLI profiles, SLI is the technology of choice for gamers who want high-res graphics and multiple display support. Push your notebook to the limits with graphics cards designed to be overclocked with NVIDIA Maxwell GPU architecture. The GT80S TITAN SLI is also ready to take you to the next generation of immersive gaming with enough horsepower to meet the steep demands of VR gaming.

18.4″ Full HD Matte Display

The 18.4″ display features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, so you can play 1080p Full HD content natively. The display also features MSI True Color technology, which provides multiple viewing modes, each precisely calibrated to deliver vibrant colors and sharp images. Gamer mode increases brightness for gaming. Anti-Blue mode reduces potentially harmful blue light. sRGB mode sets the screen to 100% sRGB of color gamut. Designer mode increases clarity for lines and words. Office mode reduces eye-strain after long term use. Movie mode optimizes contrast for vivid movies.

MSI Super Port

Whatever you need, you can get it done with just one Super Port (USB Type-C). Transfer massive files with up to 1000 MB/s transfer rates. Get more pixel power supporting dual 4K displays and extend your field of view with daisy chain capabilities. Even charge your smartphone, tablet, and other mobile device faster on-the-go or at home (support for 5V @ 3A).

Super RAID 4

Get in the game before everyone else with Super RAID 4, MSI’s RAID 0 storage configuration. Combining dual PCI-E Gen 3.0 x4 SSDs utilizing NVMe technology, you’ll be able to harness the full performance potential of the Gen 3.0 SSD. Through the optimization of the hardware and software, the output read speeds can reach up to 3300 MB/s.

With DDR4-2133 memory, the GT80S TITAN SLI can achieve a read speed of over 2.9 GB/s and a write speed of 3.2 GB/s. With over 30% faster performance than previous generations DDR3-1600, DDR4-2133 lets you take your gaming experience to the next level.

ESS Sabre HiFi Audio DAC

This MSI GT80S TITAN SLI comes equipped with an ESS Sabre HiFi Audio DAC that upgrades the audio experience when using your headphones. It provides immersive sound effects and enhances sounds you may have missed.

Nahimic Virtual Surround Sound

Originally developed for military fighter jets, Nahimic specializes in 3D sound software processing and audio improvements offering virtual 7.1 sound in immersive high definition. Designed to work with standard audio and stereo equipment, Nahimic transports gamers into the action, allowing them to sense every footstep, hear every bullet whizzing past, and feel every explosion. It also features a high definition audio recorder to easily capture and stream studio quality sound and is only available on MSI gaming laptops, including the MSI GS60.

Killer Shield

MSI includes the Killer Shield manager app that protects and prioritizes the networking traffic. It also helps prevent lag spikes so you can play your best.

Killer DoubleShot Pro

Killer DoubleShot Pro provides a Killer E2400 LAN controller and the dual-band 802.11ac Killer wireless card to improve latency and offer smooth online gameplay.

SteelSeries Cherry MX Brown Keyboard

Use the fully illuminated SteelSeries keyboard, which has tactile keys, Cherry MX Brown switches, a strategic layout, and powerful customization capabilities. Modify the color, macro every key, and enhance the way you play with the SteelSeries Engine 3 app. This keyboard also features silver lining printed keys that provide long-term wear and tear.

The Cherry MX Brown switch has an actuation force of 45g and offers a small tactile bump when pressed, letting you know that the key has registered. This can be useful for typing or preparing for a movement while gaming. Unlike Cherry MX Blue switches, these do not have an audible “click” mechanism, allowing for a quieter operation. Noise generated from this keyboard will be from the key either springing back into place or “bottoming out” – making contact with the back plate after a particularly hard press.

Windows 10

Start Menu

After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8’s Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.

Microsoft’s digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Laptop, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.

Microsoft Edge

After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With it, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.

Windows Store

For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.

Windows Continuum

Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it’s not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.

Xbox on Windows 10

Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.
